The intense heat melts the rocks into lava-like melts, which are then poured into high-speed spinners. As the melts pass through the spinners, they transform into fine fibers.
To enhance the performance and durability of the fibers, a phenolic binder is applied uniformly onto each fiber's surface. This binder contains elements such as silicon and mineral oil, ensuring a consistent and reliable coating.
